Extension Camps and Courses
On top of your weekly squadron training parades, and extra curricula continuous training activities, the regional Wings conduct training camps and course during most school holidays to extend your experience and knowledge.
General Service Training Camps
These are camps on Defence establishments and bases allowing cadets to visit the various sections to learn more about the what happens on base and what jobs are available. Typically lasting about a week, you'll learn what its like to live on base, eat at a mess, meet lots of new friends from around your Wing and see and experience things a lot of your friends may never get to.
Fieldcraft camps
Extended time in the field really gives you the chance to test yourself. Wing bivouacs, adventurous training activities, and Duke Of Edinburgh challenges you to thrive with limited resources, perhaps even without a mobile phone. All of these extend upon core training and aim to give Cadets more experience in different environments in the field.
Aviation Camps
During school holiday the the AAFC will run pilot training courses to train selected Cadets to be pilots in either Powered, Glider or Remotely Piloted aircraft. It's free and competitive with limited places available. Are you up for it?
