Firearms Safety Training

The AAFC has a comprehensive firearms safety training program that works with the .22 calibre rifle.

Cadets learn basic safe handling of the rifle before they have the chance to put rounds down range in a safe environment.

More experienced shooters may represent their Squadrons (and even Wings) in shooting competitions.

Depending on availability there may be opportunities for Cadets to participate in activities at the Weapon Training Simulation System (WTSS) which is the simulated range for the F88i. 

The Australian Air Force Cadets acknowledges this country and its traditional custodians.

We acknowledge and respect the spiritual relationship between the traditional custodians and this country which is inspired by language of songs, dance law and dream time stories over many thousands of years and we pay our respect to the elders who have passed into the dreaming, those here today, and those of tomorrow. May we continue to peacefully walk together in gratitude, respect and kindness in caring for this country and each other.
