Tips & Tricks: Encourage your Cadet to ask their Senior/Experienced Cadets for advice, tips, and support throughout their Cadet journey as they have been through all of this and it’s a great way to make new friends. Furthermore, staff are here to mentor and teach Cadets about the AAFC, so feel free to ask.
A: There is a monetary contribution at each squadron that varies.
A: When the application on the EOI site is complete, there is a button “Download Application”, download > Print > Sign and check > Scan back to computer/mobile device and select “Upload Application” with document clearly named with the Cadets name – Recruit Application Form

A: It is essential that the PCF(Parental Consent form) is completed with correct and legible details so the Cadet can partake in the activity, as this form is a legal requirement for the safety of your Cadet. Please ensure when completing the form to correctly answer the health questionnaires, include any medical conditions and an up-to-date health management plan (HMP), signed and dated correctly with the correct activity as the PCF form title.
A: The cadet must have their medical conditions up to date no matter what to ensure their safety on activities and nightly parades. Any medical condition must be noted on their Cadet profile under “Hi (name of cadet)” > My details > Health Conditions AND their medical info should be up to date. To update their details, go to “Hi (name of cadet)” > Update details > medical and special conditions info.
A: It is essential all contact details are updated for emergency contacting, enrolment, and general enquiries we may need to contact you with. Details can be updated by emailing the Administration officer with a written request in email providing the new details or changed under the Cadets profile > “Hi (name of cadet)” > Update details
A common question from parents with children that have learning disabilities like ADHD, ADD, or any other mental disability is whether they can participate in the Cadet program. The answer is yes but please inform us so that we can cater any classes or opportunities to the cadet so that they may feel included in the program, this can be done during the application process.
