TAE
What does TAE do?
TAE refurbish jet engines for many military and commercial aircraft. They have been selected to be the key company in the Asia-Pacific to work on the F-35 engines (the F-135 engine). They provide support for engines for fast jets and turboprops, including for the F-18, Growler and Super Hornet. They also provide specialised engineering, advanced manufacturing, fire protection and rescue systems, wheel and brake maintenance, repair and overhaul, engine test cell design and upgrade, and engine health monitoring systems.
What activities can TAE offer?
TAE is open to considering requests for a visit providing timing can be mutually agreed. The activity is open to negotiation, but will generally include some or all of the following depending on location and facilities available:
- An introduction to TAE operations for cadet groups at either the Ipswich or Adelaide facilities;
- A tour of the TAE facility ;
- Overview of career opportunities at TAE including entry requirements.
Where can they offer activities?
TAE could provide the greatest range of activities at their two main facilities which are located in:
- Queensland – Ipswich (military engine operations)
- Adelaide, Adelaide Airport (commercial engine operations)
- Smaller elements of TAE are located at RAAF Williamtown and in Melbourne.
