What does CAE do?

CAE has more than 300 employees at almost 20 sites throughout Australia. CAE Australia Pty Ltd, was established by CAE in 1994 and is based in Homebush, New South Wales.  CAE Australia is focused on serving the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and other regional defence customers. CAE’s focus is on training capabilities and leading-edge simulation technologies, as well as engineering and training support services. 

 

Some of the major programs led by CAE Australia for the Australian Defence Force include the Management and Support of ADF Aerospace Simulators (MSAAS); KC-30A tanker training systems and comprehensive training services at RAAF Amberley; C-130J training systems and services at RAAF Richmond; S-70A Black Hawk full-flight and mission simulator and maintenance services at Oakey; MRH90 training systems and services at Oakey and Townsville; MH-60R Seahawk training services at Nowra, AP-3C maintenance and engineering support services at RAAF Edinburgh and the KA350 King Air simulator services at RAAF East Sale.

What activities can CAE offer?

CAE is open to considering requests for a visit providing timing can be mutually agreed. The activity is open to negotiation, but will generally include some or all of the following depending on location and facilities available:

  • An introduction to CAE simulation/training operations;
  • A tour of the CAE facility;
  • Overview of career opportunities at CAE including entry requirements.

Where can they offer activities?

CAE could provide the greatest range of activities at their main facilities which are located in:

Perth. The CAE Airline Training Centre in Perth currently houses three full-flight simulators (FFS) providing training for airlines in Australia and the neighbouring regions.
The newly established training centre will be able to train approximately 2,000 crew members and cadets per year at full capacity. 

Tamworth. The Tamworth Academy offers integrated CPL, ATPL and MPL training pathways for Australian and international airlines, combining premier ground school courses with high quality flying instruction.

Homebush-Sydney. Main Headquarters.

Other Locations. Canberra and Brisbane have CAE offices, and CAE has a presence at many ADF Bases where aerospace simulation services are provided.
