What we need from you
All members of the ADF Cadets have a right to an environment where they can interact in a positive and co-operative manner which is free from harassment and bullying. As a Parent1 of an Air Force Cadet, we will:

treat you with respect and expect courtesy and respect by other parents

treat you in a polite manner

provide timely response to your concerns raised

listen to and clearly communicated with you, in regard to your cadets participation.
We expect you to:

ensure that your child is punctual to unit activities/events and inform the OOC/IOC if your child is going to be late

collect your child on time or arrange appropriate alternative transportation if you are unable to collect your child and inform the OOC/IOC of this arrangement as soon as possible

remain calm and polite when communicating with OOC/IOC and other members of the cadet unit

under no circumstances approach another child whilst in the care of the cadet unit to discuss or chastise them because of actions towards your own cadet

to inform the OOC/IOC if there are factors at home that may influence your cadets behaviour

make mutually convenient appointments with the unit OOC/IOC to discuss any issues or concern

ensure that your behaviour does not cause alarm or concern in the unit. For example the use of offensive language (i.e. swearing) is not acceptable and will not be tolerated

do not engage in any form of abusive behaviour including verbal, sexual, emotional or physical either in person or by the use of social media such as Facebook, text, email, chatroom, Instagram, twitter etc. in relation to the Air Force Cadets

understand that inappropriate/unacceptable behaviour may result in your cadet being withdrawn from their cadet program.

1 The term parent in relation to a young person means any person having parental responsibility or guardianship of a person under the age of 18. This includes legal guardians, responsible third parties and/or specified next of kin.
