More Information
EFTS FLT RIC is the Flight providing support to 3Wing of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) based at RAAF RICHMOND, in the Sydney Basin.
The Flight received its first DA40NG aircraft 27 Feb 2020, its second 26 Nov 2020 and, since then, it has been offering aviation flights for cadets in the AAFC. Just before Christmas 2021, we received our third and fourth aircraft - now at a full complement.
The Elementary Flight Training School (EFTS) motto is “Inspire” and we began our Cadet Aviation Experience flights from Richmond in Easter 2021. On June 7th, we moved into our permanent Hangar at Richmond.
Our future includes Pilot Experience flights, Flying Training camps in School holidays and our Aviation Operations Wing Mission is "To provide young people with practical aviation experiences, education and challenges in a safe, positive environment which inspires them to become aerospace leaders in the Australian Defence Force and the Aviation Industry."
Questions relating to the use of the DA40NG aircraft (for static displays, etc) or for joining as a pilot or ground staff member, should be directed to the Flight Commander via fltcdr.efts-flt-ric@airforcecadets.gov.au.
