622SQN was established by demand from the youth in the region instigated by LCDT Z Bolton in 2008. Cadets joined 602 Squadron Woodside as foundation members for Murray Bridge. Our first Instructor from Murray Bridge is ACW(AAFC) D Bolton in 2009 and we have strong supported from parents in the region to make Murray Bridge squadron a dream come true. OC 6Wing, WGCDR(AAFC) B Wright gave his full support to the formation of the squadron. The squadron is grateful for the support from RAAF, RSL, Murray Bridge City Council, Murray Lands Regional Council and local community groups. The squadron commence parade on 9th February 2010 at the Army Training Depot, 19 Caroline Street, Murray Bridge. Inauguration Date 2March 2011. Winner of best Country and Small SQN 2015 -2017. Winner of best Shooting SQN 2016-2017. Runner up Best Sqn of Wing 2016. Granted Freedom Entry Rural City of Murray Bridge 2017.
