More Information
Please note: 418 Squadron has currently reached capacity for it's Recruit Intake for 2024. Expressions of Interest for our 2025 intake will open in October 2024.
418 Squadron was re-established in 2014 as a result of unprecedented numbers at its sister Squadron, 404 Squadron. Since then, 418 Squadron has built itself around it’s key values of community and initiative. Through strong relationships with Friends of Williamstown RSL, Newport RSL, RAAF Association and 21SQN, Cadets are provided the opportunity to give back to the local community whilst imbuing a sense of pride, respect and responsibility for the uniform they wear, and the customs and traditions they represent. 418 Squadron often works with TS Voyager, the Williamstown Navy Cadet unit, and Werribee Secondary College Army Cadet unit to provide a wide breadth of opportunities, constantly exposing Cadet’s to new environments to test their teamwork and leadership skills. 418 Squadron alumni have gone on to achieve great things ranging from direct entry army officer and pilot training, careers in local, state and federal government, even coaching in elite-level sports. Our staff team’s experience with higher education, as well as our close proximity and relationship with the RAAF, ensures you’ll emerge from your cadet career with skills that will last you a lifetime, regardless of your career aspirations.
