1 Wing 75th Anniversary - 1950-2025

1 Wing Australian Air Force Cadets is celebrating its 75th year of operation!

We are thrilled to announce that 1 Wing Australian Air Force Cadets is celebrating its 75th year of operation! 

This milestone marks a significant chapter in our history, filled with innovation, change, and achievements.
Over the past seven and a half decades, our journey has been shaped by the hard work and commitment of our volunteers, and the loyalty of our cadets. Together, we have built a legacy of youth development and of continuous improvement.

To commemorate this special occasion, we will be hosting a series of events through 2025. The first of these events will be a cocktail party to launch 1WG 75th to be held on Saturday 17th May 2025 at Wirriray Club RAAF Townsville. There will be limited tickets available for the event based on a first in process. Due to the limited space available it will only be open to former 1WG Staff members only. 

We will invite former cadets and staff to celebrate the 75th anniversary at a later event to be announced. 

To inquire about the purchase of tickets and for further information please complete the following request.

Cost per ticket will be $65.00 each. Each former staff member will be allowed to purchase up to 2 tickets.  One each for themselves and a partner. There will also be a small processing fee from the payment platform. 

Once you have been approved to attend, a payment request will be emailed to you. Tickets will be available to purchase up to the 28th of March 2025.
